E-Mail Setup for
The Office Net Users
When using these directions you may notice that some settings are not listed here. Please be sure to follow these directions and only make changes to the options listed. All other defaults are ok as is and/or not important to using email through
The Office Net.

Mail Server Settings
|

SMTP Mail Server: (Outgoing Mail)

Eudora Mail
- Load your Email program.
- Select Tools from the toolbar at the top of the program, then select Options.
- Click on Getting Started.
- Under Login Name, be sure
to only type in your Username, NOT
the full email address.
- The Mail Server (Incoming) and SMTP Server (Outgoing) should both be set to: mail.theofficenet.com
- The Return Address should be same as your
Email Address (ex. username@theofficenet.com).
Internet Mail (Internet Explorer 3.0)
- Load your Email program.
- Select Options from the Mail menu.
- Check Send Messages Immediately.
- Click on the Server tab.
- Check the Email Address to insure that it is your username@theofficenet.com
- If you are using Windows 95 also:
- Click on the Advanced Settings button.
- Check the Reply To: Address to insure that it is your
username@theofficenet.com
Outlook Express 4.0 (Internet Explorer 4.0/Win. 98)
- Load Outlook Express
- Select Options from the Tools menu.
- Click on the Send tab.
- Check Send Messages Immediately.
- Click OK.
- Select Accounts from the Tools menu.
- Click the Add Button.
- Select Mail from the drop-down menu.
- Enter your name in the Display Name field.
- Click the Next button.
- Enter your Email Address.
(Make sure you use your username@theofficenet.com)
- Click the Next button.
- Select POP3 from the drop down menu.
- Fill in the Incoming mail (POP3) server fields with
mail.theofficenet.com
- Fill in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field with
mail.theofficenet.com
- Click the Next button.
- Check Log on using.
- Enter your Email Address.
(Make sure you use your username@theofficenet.com)
- Enter your password into the Password field.
- Click the Next button.
- Enter The Office Net Mail into the Internet mail account name field.
- Click the Next button.
- Select Connect using my phone line.
- Click the Next button.
- Select your modem from the drop down menu.
- Click the Next button.
- Select Using an existing dial-up connection. (Select
The Office Net).
- Click the Next button.
- Click the Finish button.
- Click the Close button

Microsoft Outlook 97
- Start Outlook, Select Services on the Tools menu.
- In the Services dialog, click Internet Mail information service, and click Properties. If Internet Mail is not listed, click Add, click Internet Mail, then click OK.
- Enter your real name into the Real Name field.
- Enter your Email Address.
(Make sure you use username@theofficenet.com)
- Fill in the Your Internet Mail Server field with mail.theofficenet.com.
- Enter your Email Address.
(Make sure you use your username@theofficenet.com)
- Enter your password into the Password field.
- Click on the Connection Tab.
- Select modem as your connection type.
- Click Apply. Click OK

Netscape Navigator Mail (Netscape 2.0 or 3.0)
- Load Netscape.
- Select Mail and News Preferences from the Options menu.
- Click on the Server tab.
- Fill in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field with
mail.theofficenet.com.
- Fill in the Incoming mail (POP3) server fields with
mail.theofficenet.com.
- Fill in the POP3 Server Name field with your
username.
- Click on the Identity tab.
- Fill in the Your Name field.
- Fill in the Your Email field.
- Click on the Organization tab.
- Check Remember mail password.
- Click OK.

Mail Relay
Our Server supports Relaying Mail for other Internet services provided you follow these instructions.
To relay mail
@yourdomain.com you will have to perform the following procedure:
1. Setup your
@theofficenet.com POP3 Account and verify that it is working.
Mail servers are as follows:
POP3:
mail.theofficenet.com SMTP:
mail.theofficenet.com
2. Setup your
@yourdomain.com email address using the same mail program as the
The Office Net mail account.
3. You will have to change the SMTP MAIL SERVER of your
@yourdomain.com account to mail.theofficenet.com
4. When checking mail, both accounts should be logging in to their appropriate POP3 Servers.
5. The key to allowing the port to relay mail is you will have to check the
@theofficenet.com mail account first. Once you have checked mail with your
The Office Net account the port will be available for relay for 30min per session.
