When and Where

Sunday, July 11, 2004 8:00 a.m. Beaver Lodge at Gillette Lake (altitude 3,200 ft) to City of Colville (altitude 1,650 ft., population 4,600). Colville is located 70 miles north of Spokane, Washington on Hwy 395 in Northeastern Washington.

Description of Course

Swim: Triangular through Lake Gillette, surrounded by the beautiful Colville National Forest. Water temperatures are low 70's. (Wetsuits not required but are highly recommended).

Bike: A scenic point-to-point course along State Highway 20 through the Colville National Forest. There is a substantial net elevation loss. The bike course finishes at Colville High School. The course is open to traffic during the race.

Run: Rotary Trail at Dominion Meadows golf course.

Age Divisions

Individual: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Individual awards to first male & female, first masters male & female and first three in each age group

Triathlon Teams: Men, Women & Mixed

Team awards will be given to first team in each division.

Results

Timing of the Tiger Tri will be done using the ChampionChip timing system. A Chip (transponder) will be worn on a velcro ankle strap that provides 100% accuracy for run, swim and bike splits as well as overall times. All competitors will be required to wear a Chip. Competitors not wearing the Chip on race day will not be timed or scored in the results.

Remember: Unless you own your own Chip, you must return the Chip at the finish line at the end of the event.

Day of race from 6:00 - 7:30 a.m. at Beaver Lodge (official start location)

Volunteers

Volunteers, including spouses or other family members of participants, are welcome. We need good volunteers to maintain the quality and safety of this event. If you are interested in being involved in this way, please fill out the entry form indicating that you would like to volunteer.

General Information

Transportation to Beaver Lodge on morning of race: Participants are responsible to transport themselves, their bikes and equipment to the lake prior to the start of the race.

Participant transportation to Beaver Lodge after the race: A shuttle bus will leave for Beaver Lodge from Yep Kanum Park at approximately 12:45 PM, after the completion of the awards ceremony. Racers are asked not to take bicycles on the shuttle bus as only one trip will be made. Bicycles can be retrieved by support crews or left in the secured bike transition at Colville High School. The bicycle transition area will be monitored and secure until 3:00 PM.

Awards will be presented at Colville High School.
