Shavano Brent Lea (Sonny)

Born on April 20, 1977 an own son of Shavano F-1649, Sonny is a leopard appaloosa stallion out of the Patchy F-416 line with outstanding conformation, disposition and movement.

Right out of the pages of Appaloosa history, Sonny's family members are among the greatest of all Appaloosa horses. His great grandsire, the immortal Patchy, was two times National Champion. His grandsire, the well known Patchy Jr., was also two times National Champion. Even his granddam, Blossom, was a National Champion in performance.

The Rockin' Spur (formerly Myalaska Farms), located north of Spokane, Washington, maintains a breeding program focused on producing the closest foundation bloodlines available, which means the majority of brood mares are between 15 and 29 years old. Owner, Ken Spurlin, has been interested in and working with appaloosas since the early 1970s.

They include mares from Pratt, Decker and Lester Saur herds. All stallion services are by private treaty arrangement. See "Horses For Sale" for mares and foals available for purchase.
